Romp steak. T-boner. Fellatio mignon. New York striptease.

Struggling to figure out if these words are types of meat or intricate sex moves? With Steak and Blowjob Day on 14 March, you no longer need to be confused.

The idea is fairly simple; the day allows you to thank your man for his efforts on Valentine’s Day and show how much you care for him with a BJ and a steak, and not necessarily in that order.

Steak and BJ Day was invented with the idea that Valentine’s Day is solely for women and men are getting the raw deal, so they’re asking for medium-rare a month later as a bargaining chip.

It’s unknown when the ‘holiday’ first began, but some people credit St Valentine’s cousin, Claudius Fellatio, for starting the trend. Others suggest that when World War Two ended in 1945, President Truman had the FBI secretly spread the word as a ‘welcome home’ for the troops. But it is known that the event was called ‘Steak and Knobber Day’ in 1998.

Certain people (over 100,000 who follow the event’s official Facebook page) think there’s a genuine need for this pushback reaction to the overly commercial Valentine’s Day and feel they’re fellatio-deprived.

Forget 14 March being worldwide Pi Day, because we’ve not used the formula since high school and struggle to remember anything after the numbers 3.14 anyway, and pay homage to the patriarchy and the Men’s Right’s Movement.

It may just be a bad joke gone viral (we’re hoping so) but there’s even a countdown clock to the date on the official event’s website…but our countdown is to Cake and Cunnilingus Day on 14 April.
