1. Flat Iron, Soho – Our first choice is cheap and simple for a classy vibe, and good quality steak that won’t break the bank. Choose your steak, sides for £2.50, and sauce and then add some affordable wine for a full meal under 20 quid.

2. Comedor Grill and Bar, Angel – An authentic restaurant serving you South American food and Latin jazz music. There’s usually a Tuesday to Friday £10 steak special and you can get 50 per cent off your first meal.

3. Steak & Co., Covent Garden – Well-infused steak you cook directly at your table on sizzling hot stones. We love that you can pick your own salt, infused butter and sauce.

4. Tramshed, Shoreditch – Chicken and steak restaurant serving Himalayan salt-aged beef, wild garlic mushrooms and delicious house wine.

5. Meat People, Islington – Uruguayan steaks served best with blue-cheese sauce. We suggest the spider-cut steak for the cheapest option.
