Sense 8
The Wachowski siblings’ brainchild returns for a second season this spring. The show follows the lives of eight strangers in different parts of the world who soon find out they are somehow connected and can share skills, languages, knowledge and emotions. The Netflix sensation was one of the most diverse and original to hit our screens in 2015. If you haven’t caught up with season one yet, now is the time to start binge-watching. On Netflix 8 May.

Broad City
Our favourite Jewesses from Brooklyn (sorry Hannah Horvath) are back for more adventures this spring on Comedy Central. As Ilana would say: “YASSSSS QUEEN!” Expect more pot-fuelled excursions around the Big Apple, random bump-ins with famous guest stars, and moments of true sisterhood as Ilana and Abbi go through the hurdles of life as broke twentysomethings. We can’t wait. On Comedy Central this spring (date TBA).

Twin Peaks
27 years ago, David Lynch engaged audiences with the murder of Laura Palmer in small town Twin Peaks, Washington. Now a new generation of fans has caught on to the pop culture phenomenon thanks to the beautiful world of streaming video. This May, the infamous director is resuscitating the quirky and surrealist universe for the long-awaited revival of the cult classic TV show. Original cast members Kyle MacLachlan and Mädchen Amick are returning, as well as high-profile additions such as Naomi Watts and Laura Dern. On Sky Atlantic from 22 May.

Outlander
It’s been too long since our screens were graced with Jamie Fraser’s beautiful face (and abs). After the explosive season two finale, which saw Claire finding out that the husband she had left for dead at the battle of Culloden was indeed alive, it’s time to find out what comes next for our favourite time-travelling couple. Brush up on your Gaelic and dust off your tartan, for Outlander is soon-to-be back, lassies. On Amazon Prime this spring (date TBA).
